Sure.
Items checked on the polylang settings:

• The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks
  Example: http://mysite.com/en/my-post/
• Remove /language/ in pretty permalinks
  Example: http://mysite.com/en/
• The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id
  Example: http://mysite.com/nl/ instead of http://mysite.com/nl/thuis/
• When the home page is visited, then set the language based on the preferences of the browser

Also checked: Custom post types, Custom taxonomies and Synchronization.

I am using a static homepage.
