gseo on "[Plugin: Polylang] pll_language cookie not switching"

When switching to another language, the pll_language cookie always stays at "en" causing pages to be displayed wrong.

Also, the translation for my static front page does not get recognized as a front page (and therefore does not get loaded by front-page.php). I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the language not switching properly.
