Pinnacle, Polylang, wrong redirecting

Hi,
I need help. I’m using PINNACLE theme and I create page in 3 language with POLYLANG. Everything goes right except :
When I click on logo on page in PL language it’s redirecting to home page in NO, on others translation everything goes fine.
With every translation I do the same things. Every front page has this “pen” icon, with logo it’s the same.
I’m new with wordpress and I have no idea what goes wrong.

post edit page Language Metabox not working

from last 2 days Language metabox in post edit page not working properly.
after clicking the plus button for adding translation the page reload with correct information (name of base translation), but when the page fully loded it disappear.
Please check the video

Multilingual

Hello,

Firstly thanks for developing the theme and let us use the theme for free.

I tried to use your theme to create a multilingual website for an organization. It has problem with multilingual webistes.

I use polylang plugin to develop multilingual website. The website doesn’t shows the language characters appropriately.

Please add the following line to your theme’s header.php file:

<meta charset="<?php bloginfo( 'charset' ); ?>">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">

I will also request the polylang team to add the line as many theme doesn’t add the line to make the theme multilingual supported.

Event feed with Polylang question

Good morning,

I’m trying to confirm whether Event Make and Polylang will play nicely together for what I need.

My site has two languages for posts and pages, but for events I don’t want any language. My events won’t have a description, only a title and that’s easy to bilingualize.

So rather do everything twice I just want to create one event that’s shown regardless of which language the client is in.

I also want the calendar feed (that user can incorporate into their calendar) to work!

Currently I use Event Organiser and when I turned off translation for Events the feed stopped working!!!

polylang – 404 error that page can’t be found

Hello I have a small problem with the “YITH WooCommerce Wishlist” plugin, using polylang, the corresponding “Wishlist” / English page, is not displayed, giving error 404. With the first language “italian” it works perfectly. I tried updating the permalink but nothing changed. Can you help me?

You can see the problem by visualizing the page and then clicking on the upper right corner.

Polylang or Simple Tags

I have used your plugin for a while now and was very happy with it. However, I installed Simple Tags to enable me to make bulk edits to my tags; and have added a second language to my site using Polylang; and now the page no longer works. Has anyone else noticed this bug? I cannot find a reasonable replacement for your plugin, so I am really hoping that you might have a fix. Yours appreciatively, Drew Bergerson

Cant translate string for “Free Shipping”

Hello my name is Ziga, on my website i use your plugins (everything is up to date), i also use polylang and loco translate. I have a multilingual website and i offer a “on order of 3 or more there is free shipping” but i cant get to translate the “free shipping” string.

Whit loco translate i translated every string whit “free shipping” for every language but it doesn’t translate it.

Yoast and Polylang: pages switching to “noindex”

Hello,

I am using Polylang to manage multilangual pages on a website. I have two languages.

I recently updated these two plugins, and something weird is happening.

Some pages switched to “noindex” (Meta robots index field). And when I change it back to “index”, it automaticaly changes the related page (in the other language) to “noindex”.

I can’t get to have the two related pages to “index”. Changing one always switches the other back to “noindex”

Has someone experienced such a weird behavior, or has an idea of what is going on?

Polylang does not show string for Call to Action

In the string menu, I can change the string for title, tagline and a few others, but there is nothing available for the Call to Action-button.

What do I have to change to get it in there? I found the button-code in the header.php file but I have no idea how I would go about changing it to a string. I’ve thought maybe I’d have to use polylang conditional?

Translated string is not translated on Woocommerce checkout page

Hi,

I inserted the function pll_register_string into the functions.php file of the plugin Theme Customisations to register a string. I use the plugin Theme Customisations because I use the Boutique child theme for Woocommerce and I don’t want my changes be overwritten with the next update of the theme.

The string appears in the Polylang translated strings table and I translated it from German to English. But the string does NOT appear as English string on the Woocommerce checkout page. Only the German version appears.

It would be nice if someone could help me.

Question Content Views Pro and Polylang

Hi,

I’m using Content Views Pro and Polylang in my website, and it is working as intended. However, I wonder is if there’s any way that I can create a Custom View that ignores the language filter, so that Custom View has to show all posts, without filtering them by language.

Got an image to my main language rss feed, but not the second one

Hi there! Thanks for your nice work. Thanks to you I have a featured image on each post of my rss feed.
I have a website set with Polylang and 2 languages (french, english).
On my first language (fr), the picture is working : aiglebleu.net/feed
But not in the english side : aiglebleu.net/en/feed
What can I do to fix it?

wp_get_nav_menu_items() causes infinite loop with Polylang

Dear Chouby (and maybe other experts who have an idea how to ressolve this),

I discovered that Polylang causes a problem when certain menus are used for wp_get_nav_menu_items().

I have ‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ menu locations registered in my theme. Secondary only includes the language switcher, so it is used in all languages. Primary, however, uses different menus in all languages (DE, EN, FR).

This works:

$menu_name = 'secondary';
$locations = get_nav_menu_locations();
$menu_object = wp_get_nav_menu_object( $locations[ $menu_name ] );
$menu = wp_get_nav_menu_items($menu_object->term_id);

This does not work and causes an infinite loop

$menu_name = 'primary';
$locations = get_nav_menu_locations();
$menu_object = wp_get_nav_menu_object( $locations[ $menu_name ] );
$menu = wp_get_nav_menu_items($menu_object->term_id);

Also with “primary___en” and “primary___fr” it does not work. Once I deactivate Polylang, it works again with “primary”.

Please let me know if you have any idea how to ressolve this.

Polylang for big websites?

Hi,

Interested in using Polylang premium.

Have been reading a lot about WPML vs Polylang. Usings WPML for a few websites and shops (WooCommerce).

Reason why I am looking for WPML alternative because it is called the DINASOUR. Not satisfied about WPML’s performance. I’ve read better Polylan performance reports.

BUT

I read a lot about Polylang would not be as compatible with “bigger” sites of shops. But cannot find information on what is considered to big for Polylang?

Can somebody clear this matter?
How many pages and products are manageable for Polylang?
Live examples of domains wit a lot of content using Polylang?

Dates with Polylang Languages

We are using Event Maker with Polylang on a multisite with multiple languages including RTL languages.

We need to format the date for some languages differently.

Under the Settings > Display Tab > Date and time format – we only see one Date and Time field.

Is there an option to have multiple formats for multiple languages?

woocommerce string translation group

Hello there,

I am having a small problem with translating my online shop. I am using WooCommerce plugin for that purpose. I have translated all the pages no problem.

I cannot, however, start to translate other parts of my shop such as “cart”, or “check-out”. I know it should be translatable from the PolyLang string translation tool. Unfortunately I cannot see WooCommerce in the list of strings. It has no dedicated group, like it is shown here:

I have plugins “Currency Switcher for WooCommerce” and “Polylang”.

Can I change currency when changing language ?

Is it possible to add different featured thumbnails per language?

I enabled “Media” in Polylang > Settings, but adding different media for a language seems to change the featured thumbnail for all languages.
