How to convert static homepage template to different language
Hello,
I have a static homepage with a homepage template. Most of the content for the page are in the template file. When I add a translation to a new language for the static homepage, it stays in English.
I am guessing even though the page is in different language, it is still using the content from the template file which is in english.
Do I move the content to a separate page/post and call that in the homepage template for it to work correctly?

Multilingual search

Relevanssi and Polylang. Conflict?
I have installed Relevanssi Polylang. In the settings table Relevanssi successfully found over 6000 products and pages. When I do a search with the wordpress form I don’t find any results. If I deactivate Polylang the search works. Do you have any ideas on how to fix? The problem occurs with both the Twenty Twenti Theme and the DIVI.

Polylang – Header & Footer not Switching

Homepage (Elementor) issue with plugin Polylang
Hi,
I’m building a multilingual website with Polylang.
When I try to create a traduction for the Home page, the layout seems broken.
I build the French homepage with Elementor.
In Elementor editing mode, the layout seems ok, and when I try to see the page in real the layout style is missing.
What happened ?

Custom post types and Taxonomies deactivated
Hi, I have a lot of problems with the Polylang plugin in combination with Yoast SEO (they’re conflicting). One of the things I just noticed, is that ‘posts and taxonomies’ are deactivated and unavailable for me to activate. Does someone know how I can activate this setting? I really hope activating this setting will resolve my biggest issues.

WPSP translated taxonomy with WPML
Hello.
I am making multilingual webpage on Generatepress with WPSP. I need to list some posts from chosen category, all categories are translated to both languages and linked as translations. In primary language WPSP works fine – I am loading posts based on category listed in Taxonomy terms field. When I create another list in the second language and choose Category as my Taxonomy, Taxonomy terms shows nothing to choose from and list remains empty.
I am using WPML now but I tried Polylang before with the same results.
Please for some hint.

Elementor does not show woocommerce categories translated with polylang
I translated my website in french using polylang with the primary language being english. I also translated my woocomerce categories in french.
But whenever I open a french page (translated page) with elementor it only shows me the primary language woocommerce categories (english).
How can I get elementor to show translated woocommerce categories ?

Incompatibility Elementor, Polylang, Woocommerce
I used polylang to translate my website from english to french.
I use woocommerce and I translated the categories from english to french with polylang.
But when I open the french page with elementor, it does not show the translated categories.
How can I manage to make them appear in elementor so I can display them on the french (translated pages).

[events] lists in a wrong language but filter and [past_events] the right one
Hola there!
I list with WP Event Managers [events] and [past_events] shortcodes the events on a page in English and German. I use Polylang. In German version of the page all things are working properly: the filer and the listings of events and past events are all in German. If I switch to the corresponding English page, the filter is set to English (correct), the listig with [events] shortcode lists German events (wrong!) and the listig with [past_events] shortcode few lines below lists English events (correct!) again.

Errors in page lists
Hello,
I’m getting an error in the pages list of the admin, and this is making it hard to use the different features (add/remove pages, …), as the error message is getting inserted between the links and buttons. You can see what I mean here: https://ibb.co/bN7FMXt
These errors are of course only displayed when WP_DEBUG is on.
I wrote to the Polylang support and they told me to contact the Nested Pages support, so here am I !

Multi language with Polylang
How can I use Ultimate Member with Polylang? I found this https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1449-how-to-translate-plugin#switch in the docs, but where to download the “special version”?
Does it mean the current version 2.1.11 is not ready for multi language yet?

Permalinks are mixed-up between languages suddenly
I am the owner of the website stuartmcmillen.com, which offers content in multiple languages using Polylang Free. English is my main language, and the others are translations.
In the last 24 hours, I have had multiple English langauge users contact me to say that many of my URLs are now pointing to translations in other languages.

Looking into the backend of WordPress, it seems that some of the English posts have had their slugs renamed to things like /supernormal-stimuli-2/
As you can see, these are all posts where I originally had the URL slug as exactly the same as the English version.
When looking at the documentation for Polylang, I see that Polylang now only supports slugs in multiple languages for users who pay for Polylang Pro. This is something that I wasn’t aware of until now.
Just wondering if this is a new feature that may now be impacting on my website?
Looking at archive.org snapshots of my website, I can see that until now, I have been supporting translations that have featured the exact same slug as my English language content. e.g. the Russian version of Rat Park, with /rat-park/ as the slug (same as the English slug), and the Russian War on Drugs with /war-on-drugs/ as the slug.
Is it possible that previous my Polylang Free was supporting identical slugs, and something caused my WordPress installation to stop supporting identical slugs, and to change a lot of URLs.
Anyway, I’m disappointed that things have suddenly broken, and am hoping someone can let me know what has happened, and how to fix it.

Relevanssi & Polylang Multilanguage Results in Ajax Search
Hi,
Since a while I get multilanguage results in the ajax search results.
Allow results from all languages is not activated.
I already deactivated all plugins to check if there’s a conflict. The error seems to be in Relevanssi.
Any idea how to fix that?

Auto Template with multiple languages for Custom Post Type
Hi,
I have created a website making heavy use of Pods custom post types, which are awesome! I started the website in German and have added an english version using Polylang.
With Polylang, I have activated Templates for translation, not the custom post type (their data remains the same). I have the auto template option set for the custom post types and access single posts from a list of posts using {permalink}.
I have two language versions for the template but I always only get the German version when I open the post on the English page.
The two language versions refer to each other as translations.
I tried the following:
– Same name for English and German templates –> select this name in the auto template options => I see the German version
– Different names for English an German templates –> select the name of the German version in the auto template options => I see the German version
– Different names for English an German templates –> select the name of the Enlish version in the auto template options => I see the German version
I am currently using a workaround, accessing a page which displays one post, selected by its ID. Disadvantage: I can’t switch languages on the page and on social media, I don’t get the title and picture of the post but of the page.
What else could I try?

Hello,
I’m using Woocommerce 4.6.1 and Polylang (English and Dutch).
Currently I have the issue that on the English side I always get an extension when clicking on a page, like this:
– Basket t’sepsitename%%
– Shop t’sepsitename%%
How do I get rid of those extensions?
